Four Virtues Monterey County Pinot Noir Red Wine
The much needed rainfall helped to generate healthy vine growth. Mild spring weather led to successful bloom and set of healthy grape clusters. Warmer temperatures in July helped to achieve full ripeness in the grapes. A heat wave in early September sped up ripening, but by the end of the month it slowed back to normal as the temperatures cooled.
Rutherford Ranch's Four Virtues Pinot Noir is made using grapes grown in California's Monterey County. In total, it has been aged for six months in oak barrels, with the result that there is a noticeable taste of oak accompanied by notes of herbs, plums, and strawberries. On the whole, Four Virtues Pinot Noir boasts a pleasing taste paired with a long finish.
Earthy notes of dried herbs, plums and dried red fruits. Bright acidity focuses the fruit and helps create a long and generous finish.
