I often make these when we are hosting a party or going to the beach because they are fast and easy to make on the run.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE YOUR WHITE WINE SPRITZER:
- White Wine of Choice
- Lemon (sliced into wheels)
- Soda Water (any over the counter soda water is fine but you can get fancy)
STEP 1: CHOOSE YOUR WHITE WINE FOR YOUR SPRITZER
Depending if you want a sweet white wine spritzer, dry white wine spritzer or crisp white wine spritzer we have chosen several wines below that can accommodate your needs.
- Sweet Wines for White Wine Spritzer >>
- Dry or Buttery Wines for White Wine Spritzer >>
- Crisp Wines for White Wine Spritzer >>
STEP 2: BUILD YOUR WHITE WINE SPRITZER
- I like to place a few lemon wheels in the bottom of a wine glass before I begin.
- In a wine glass, add ice to fill.
(you can add half ice, then add a lemon wheel, then add the rest of the ice - this way it looks nicer when you are presenting to the world)
- Fill 3/4 of the glass with your favorite white wine
- Top off with soda water
- If you bought few lemons, you can use a lemon zester and peel a lemon twist off for a garnish but I like to just add another wheel as the garnish.
STEP3: ENJOY YOUR NEW FOUND CREATION!

The Health Benefits of Wine That'll Have You Pouring a Glass Today
Scientists say when you pop the cork on a bottle of wine and drink some (or all) of it, it is actually good for you. Wine is very good for your emotional and physical health, including being good for your heart.
Red wine is a favorite of a lot of people due to the fact that it has powerful plant antioxidants in it. Even though these plant antioxidants are more prevalent in vegetables like broccoli, getting a buzz while getting those antioxidants in your system is a lot more fun than just eating broccoli Research has proven that people who drink red wine tend to have a lower risk of heart disease, even though other lifestyle habits do have an impact on heart health. The powerful antioxidants in red wine help get rid of the bad LDL cholesterol while keeping the good HDL cholesterol in the body. Red wine can also lower blood pressure levels when it is consumed in moderation.
Drinking a glass of wine a day can also help prevent Alzheimer's disease. Research suggests that if a person drinks between one to three glasses of wine per day is connected to a lesser chance of getting dementia and Alzheimer's disease Scientists discovered that when wine goes through the stomach, what remains is antioxidant compounds that can protect our brain neurons from getting damaged or destroyed. Therefore, it can help lower the chance of getting neurological diseases like Alzheimer's Disease or Parkinson's.
Having a glass of wine can also be good for your gut. Since wine is naturally fermented (like yogurt, pickles, kombucha, and other bacteria-friendly foods). Research has shown that wine has a prebiotic effect that helps improve the composition of the gut. Wine has been found to help with depression. Drinking two to seven glasses a week can improve your mood. Finally, drinking wine in moderation is connected to a reduced risk of type two diabetes in women and drinking wine can reduce the risk of diabetes by thirty percent Diabetics need to talk to their doctor before they drink wine because it can lower their blood sugar and interact with their medicines.
Along with tasting great, wine is good for your physical and mental health as well. The next time you indulge in a glass of wine, you could be helping your health as well.

What Does Carménère Wine Taste Like?
Most Carménère Wines have striking aromas of raspberry sauce, sour cherry, green peppercorn and a granite-like minerality. On the more affordable end, you can expect to find Carménère wines with honest fruity red berry aromas and tart flavors of raspberry with a subtle bitter taste similar to kale. In fact, Carménère has many similarities in terms of body and texture to Merlot. On the higher end, the herbaceous bitter notes depart the scene in favor of sweet berries, refined light tannin and a bittersweet note, like cocoa powder.
Carménère is a medium-bodied red wine that originated in Bordeaux, France and now grows almost only in Chile. The wine is treasured for its supple red-and-black berry flavors (in a similar style to Merlot) and herbaceous notes of green peppercorn. Originally, Carménère was thought to be Merlot when it was first transplanted into Chile. This case of mistaken identity is perhaps what saved Carménère from extinction when Phylloxera devastated the vineyards of Bordeaux in the late 1800’s.

Wine Beverages to Make Your Christmas And New Year's Merry and Bright
The holiday season has quickly come upon us and for a lot of us, that means a lot of dinners and parties. When these events are being planned, you need to think especially careful about the wines that you are going to serve. Serving the right wines are just important as what foods you serve to go along with them, how you decorate your home, and who you have over to enjoy your festivities. The right wine being served with the right dish will make your Christmas and/or New Year's guests elated and ecstatic.
Christmas
No matter whether you are serving the traditional ham or something more exotic like duck, prime rib, and spicy Asian dishes, the best wines to serve with Christmas dinner typically are acidic and full-bodied red and white wines. Some of these wines include Savennieres from France, Semillon from France, Syrah from South Africa, Gewurztraminer from Germany. These aromatic and bold wines will have your guests feeling festive, and truly ready to marvel at all of the magic that the holiday season has to offer.
New Year's
Champagne and Sparkling Wine are the traditional alcoholic drinks that are served on New Year's Eve. You may be confused about the difference in sparkling wines, but we will help you. Champagne is a sparkling wine that is only made in the Champagne region of France. Prosecco comes from Italy and Cava comes from Spain. Sparkling wines have a lot of ranges when it comes to sweetness. These ranges include brut (the driest wine available), extra brut, brut-dry, demi-sec, and doux (the sweetest sparkling wine available). For a New Year's party, it is a good idea to have a variety of them available to appease all of your guests.
If you serve these beverages to your holiday guests, they will not only love them but they will make the holidays of you and your guests merry and bright.
