Heitz Cellar Trailside Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
Heitz Trailside Cabernet Sauvignon has an aroma of blackberry, black cherry, black pepper, smoked licorice, vanilla, and violet. The palate is tannic and has a pure fruitiness. Since this wine has tighter tannins, it is made for fatty foods and foods full of protein. The meats that go well with this wine are burgers, brats, prime rib, grilled game, hearty sausage dishes, and lamb. Cheeses that go well with this wine are ones that have a strong flavor like Gruyere, cheddar, and Stilton. If you serve these foods with this wine, they will make a wonderful and tasty combination.
In the early 1980s, the Heitz Family acquired a marvelous Rutherford vineyard bordered on one side by the Silverado Trail and nudged on the other by the Conn Creek.
In 1989, we introduced our Trailside Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon --- an opulent wine that consistently expresses its lineage in bold, luscious statements.
