The great Inglenook Wine Estate was divided in 1964. Eleven years later, Francis Ford Coppola and his wife Eleanor bought the Niebaum family home on 1,600 acres of land, including vineyards. By later acquiring the Inglenook Chateau and front vineyards in 1995, the Coppola family restored the Estate to its original historic dimension. The trademark was purchased in 2011, and the property is once again and forever named "Inglenook."
Rubicon is a blend created to reflect the wine grown on this property. It is produced from the best sections of our best vineyards, first planted by Gustave Niebaum over a century ago.
